Terms and Conditions

Due to the fact that we have many other items besides children's bouncy castles the terms and conditions regarding other inflatables will differ in terms of user numbers etc. The company accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury whilst our equipment is on hire to you, unless caused by an equipment malfunction. Please ensure that the delivery driver has free and easy access to erect the inflatable onto a clean, flat lawn. Please note that if on arrival there is insufficient space or the area is unsuitable, full payment still has to be made.

When you hire from Bounce Back Castles Ltd, you are entering into an agreement as outlined below:

  1. A responsible person over 18 years of age must supervise each inflatable at all times.

  2. Any soft play and/or other equipment hired must also be supervised by a responsible adult.
  3. The inflatable(s) must be secured to the ground at all times. The equipment must not be moved or re-positioned.
  4. No food or drinks are to be consumed on the inflatable (to avoid choking and mess).
  5. All shoes, badges and jewellery (e.g. large earrings, necklaces, etc.) must be removed to avoid damage to the equipment and injury to other users. It is recommended that spectacles and plastic alice bands are also removed. Adults must remove high-heeled shoes before stepping on mats.
  6. Ensure that the equipment is not overcrowded and limit the numbers depending on the age and size of children using it according to the recommendations printed on the equipment (on or near the front step of most inflatables).
  7. Do not allow children to take any hard or sharp objects onto the equipment, or anything large enough to block exits/entrances.
  8. Do not allow children to take balloons onto the equipment (burst balloons and strings can be a choking hazard).
  9. No party-poppers, henna, face paint, coloured streamers or “silly string” can be used near or on the equipment, as these may permanently stain the unit, for which you are liable.
  10. No water or other liquid to be poured or sprayed onto the equipment (other than a reasonable amount for cleaning purposes) as it causes the surface of inflatables to become slippery, damages soft play, and can result in subsequent bookings being cancelled if the equipment is too wet to be delivered. If equipment is deliberately soaked you will be charged double your hire fee to cover our costs in subsequent cancelled bookings and drying time.
  11. Inflatables must not be used in wind or wind gusts in excess of 24mph. Inflatables must not be used in heavy rain. Equipment must not be used in Thunder Storms.
  12. No smoking, barbecues, glass or animals on or near the equipment.
  13. Reckless or boisterous behaviour must not be allowed.
  14. Avoid large children and small children from using the equipment at the same time.
  15. Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls is dangerous and must not be allowed.
  16. Children must use slides one at a time and must not climb on the sides of the slide.
  17. Slides should be used in a sitting position, feet first – do not allow jumping from the top of the slide.
  18. Safety mats must be positioned at the bottom of the slide.
  19. Ensure that mats supplied with the equipment remain where they were positioned during installation.
  20. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron of the inflatable(s). The step is there to help users get on and off.
  21. No-one with a history of back or neck problems should be allowed on the inflatable(s).
  22. Do not allow users on the inflatable(s) during inflation or deflation.
  23. If the inflatable(s) are not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower(s) off at the mains. IMPORTANT: If more than one blower is being run from a single extension lead you must unplug all but one blower before switching back on, plug the remaining blowers in one at a time only when each inflatable or part is fully inflated.
  24. In the event of rain please remove children from the inflatable(s) and place a table or similar object over the blower(s) to prevent water from being blown inside the inflatable(s). Do not switch the blower(s) off. Once the rain has stopped, please ensure that the entrance and exit to the inflatable(s) are dried with a towel before children are allowed back on as they become slippery when wet.
  25. Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.
  26. Should a blower overheat or lose power, immediately remove children from the inflatable and switch the blower off at the mains. It should restart when switched back on again 1 or 2 minutes later. If it does not please inform us on the telephone number above.
  27. Bounce Back Castles Ltd must be advised as soon as possible in the event of any injury requiring professional medical treatment and a detailed record of the incident and treatment must be provided to Bounce Back Castles.
  28. If you've hired a disco light in your castle and you need to turn the unit off, do not allow any to walk on the castle, as they will break the plastic disco light and you will be charged £40.00
  29. You must call us immediately upon any equipment failure. If you are unsure about anything, please contact us immediately.
  30. Wind Speeds - Bouncy Castles & Inflatables are not able to be used in wind speeds in excess of 24mph as outlined in BS EN 14960:2019
  31. Please ensure you measure the space you have for the inflatable to ensure that the item will fit with the minimum amount of surrounding space and also the minimum access requirements for your chosen item. Most of our items require a minimum of 3ft access but some do require more, please check the individual item product page for sizing and access requirements. Please contact us if you are unsure whether an item you are considering hiring will fit or not, please do not book it and ask us to check to see if it will fit on the day - we only have so much capacity to drop off/collect bouncy castles and this prevents us hiring the item to someone else and due to this no refunds will be given on this basis.
  32. Site Visits - If you require us to do a site visit prior to your booking then there is a £25.00 charge for all site visits with a 15 mile radius.
  33. What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

    Cancellations due to wet weather are free, and all outdoor hires are automatically cancelled when gusts and wind speeds are expected to exceed 24 mph, this is for your safety. If you need to cancel due to wet weather just please let us know at least 24 hours before drop off. Cancellations within two weeks but at least 24 hours before booking for all other reasons are subject to a 25% cancellation charge due to the fact that item(s) have been held for you preventing others from booking. Cancellations made within 24 hours for ANY REASON are charged at 100% of the booking value. Generally speaking, if it is looking like rain (no wind) then we leave it up to customers to decide whether to go ahead or not, however, in extreme cases of torrential rain/saturated ground we may have to cancel.

  34. Power - the standard leads we provide are 25 metres in length, if you require longer than this please let us know so that we bring our longest leads (45m). If you need a generator please call us to see if we have availability, we do not carry spare generators on the van and we have limited availability so we need to know in advance if one is required, for which there is an additional fee. Power is purely the responsibility of the customer, whether it is your own generator or power supply.

  35. Suitable surfaces - We are only able to put bouncy castles on grass outdoors. We are not able to put them on artificial grass or astro-turf, driveways, car parks, or any surface when we are unable to put them anchor stakes securely in the ground in accordance with BS EN 14960:2019 The pegs are 16mm in diameter and 380mm in length. If the bouncy castle or inflatable is going indoors then we can put it on a wide range of surfaces.

  36. Overnight hires - Overnight hires guarantee the castle/item until 7am the following morning. We will not need to disturb you providing we can access the item. Please ensure that we have the access required to retrieve the item. If the item is not out again then we will prioritise our other drop off's and collect later on.

  37. Village Hall & Fixed time venues - Please be aware we only deliver to village halls and fixed time venues during November-March. Please be aware times are strictly on a first come first served basis. The reason we do not provide to village halls/fixed time venues in Spring/Summer is due to the fixed times being just too difficult to schedule in. Please be aware that if you have booked for a home address for a surprise birthday, that depending on scheduling we may be there early, so we can give you a call to let you know before hand, but we still cannot do fixed time bookings at houses.

  38. Please be aware we do not go through peoples houses/garages - this is due to potential problems in re-collecting the items, as well as there often not being enough space.

  39. Due to the fluctuations in demand due to the seasonal/weekend nature of inflatable hire, it is imperative that we are able to drop off earlier and collect later if required due to logistics for hires between April-October, if this is not possible it is important we know this upon booking so that we can work out whether we are able to accommodate your hire, or if another provider would be better suited to your requirements. To clarify, you would get the hire times you have asked for, we just sometimes drop off earlier and collect later so you have extra time, and we get to schedule the most logistically friendly route.
