Bounce Back Castles Ltd have been providing bouncy castles and soft play for hire for over 5 years now, and at the end of 2019, Josh completed his RPII Inspector Course, meaning that as a registered inspector he is able to provide bouncy castles and inflatables with their annual tests. So what is annual testing? Well it is a requirement that all commercial bouncy castles and inflatables undergo an annual test, similar to an MOT, once every 12 months. This is to ensure that the unit complies with BS EN 14960:2019
We have had questions from companies in regards to annual testing such as does it still need to have an annual test if it hasn't been used in the previous 12 months. We can confirm that regardless of how little it has been used, a bouncy castle or inflatable needs to undergo an annual test. This ensures that as a company you comply with your insurance, which otherwise would be void if there was an accident and it was later shown you had not had the inflatable tested. More importantly it ensures that the people using the bouncy castle or inflatable can do so in the safest manner possible, along with complying with supervision and health and safety rules.
If you haven't previously undergone the RPII Operators Course then we would highly recommend this. It explains many of the guidelines contained within BS EN 14960:2019 as well as manual handling and how to correctly set up a bouncy castle or inflatable in a safe manner.
