Unfortunately the weather has held us back again this weekend and we have had to cancel all hires due to the strong wind and gales that are battering the U.K. It is incredibly frustrating to have to cancel hires due to the weather but we have to put the health and safety of our customers and their guests ahead of profit and unfortunately there are still many companies that put them out regardless of the weather. We have previously been asked if we cancel them because we don't like working in the wind but this couldn't be further from the truth, we have to pick up bouncy castles sometimes that are soaking wet and twice as heavy as they usually are due to all the trapped water so we are certainly use to working in adverse weather conditions but when it comes to the wind we have to cancel when it exceeds 24mph. This is in line with the safety regulation that guides the industry - BS EN 14960:2019 which specifically states that bouncy castles and inflatables should not be used when winds exceed 24mph. If any company tells you that it is safe then they are putting their profit ahead of safety. It is also important to check that all bouncy castles are annually tested in accordance with BS EN 14960:2019 All commercial bouncy castles and inflatables have to undergo an annual inspection to ensure that they are/still suitable for hire and that there are not any issues which could effect the safety of the users.
Another way of ensuring that your party doesn't have to be cancelled due to the weather is by hiring an indoor venue. There are loads all over Norfolk and Suffolk for various sizes and prices.
